Glass is the first medium I encountered where I felt confidence as an artist, not just a
craftswoman. I continue to explore new techniques with fusing but still come back to my
stained-glass roots by making commissioned windows for people. I have had fun the
last 2 years making small birds or whales to mount on the driftwood that is so plentiful
out here in the Pacific Northwest. I offer classes through the Jansen Art Center in
Lynden but am able to hold most of my classes in my Mount Vernon Studio. After
moving back to Washington a few years ago, I’ve enjoyed diving into the vibrant arts
scene in this area.
