Gene Jaress

Gene Jaress is a lifelong artist. He attended Cornish College of the Allied
Arts after combat duty in Vietnam, and forged a career in art as he became
a master jeweler. His natural skill of dimensional thinking was honed as a
sculptor and master jeweler, and lends form to his recent artwork. The
atmosphere of the Skagit Valley has had a profound impact on his work. His
current project is a series of limited edition woodblock prints of the Skagit
Valley, documenting a place in time. As a master craftsman, he thoroughly
masters his medium to produce an excellent piece of art from the image to
the frame, so the artwork may be appreciated for generations.
